When the inverter controls rapid motor deceleration or the motor overspeeds due to mechanical inertia, the regenerative energy can cause overvoltage faults. The brake unit prevents such faults, ensuring stable inverter operation. The BR Series Brake Unit is mainly used with inverters in high-inertia applications requiring energy-consuming braking.
