I  Functional Requirements of Engraving Machine:
1. Control mode selects V/F control with multiple V/F curves;
2. Terminal control is required as command source, two-wire terminal control, only one forward command FWD is needed;
3. Frequency source is set by analog input (0–10VDC output from PC control board), frequency command only needs to be input via AI1;
4. One fault reset signal input (DI2);
5. One fault signal output;

The maximum operating speed is generally 24000 r/min, which corresponds to an inverter operating frequency of 400Hz (for a 2-pole high-speed motor). The minimum cutting speed is 2000 r/min. CMC's CM583 dedicated inverter with up to 650Hz frequency can fully meet the requirements. The minimum cutting speed can be below 500 r/min. The CM583 dedicated inverter supports multiple V/F curves and provides excellent torque control at both low and high speeds.

Advantages of Using CM583 Dedicated Inverter:
1. Small speed fluctuation across the entire speed range;
2. High low-speed torque, ensuring stable cutting at low rotational speeds;

II   Application Solution of CM530 General Flux Vector Control Inverter for CNC Punch Press
CNC punch presses are used for processing various sheet metal parts. They can automatically complete multiple complex hole shapes and shallow drawing processes in one operation (automatically punching holes of different sizes and pitches according to requirements, using small dies to step-punch large round holes, square holes, oblong holes, and various curved contours, as well as performing special processes such as louvers, shallow drawing, countersinking, flanging, ribs, embossing, etc.). With simple mold combinations, they save a large amount of mold cost compared to traditional stamping, making them ideal for low-volume and diversified production with lower cost and shorter cycle time, adapting quickly to market and product changes.

CMC's CM530 general flux vector control inverter is used for CNC punch presses. It ensures safe and reliable operation through reliable speed tracking and soft start based on the current flywheel speed, eliminating current impact during startup.

Functional Requirements for CNC Punch Press:
1. Control mode selects open-loop vector control method 1;
2. Startup is set to speed tracking;
3. Terminal control is required as command source, two-wire terminal control: one forward command FWD (DI1 input);
4. Frequency source is set by analog input (0–10V), frequency command only needs to be input via AI1;
5. Maximum frequency setting is 60Hz, upper limit frequency is limited to 60Hz, requiring high low-speed torque;
6. Acceleration time is set to 40.0s and deceleration time to 60.0s. A braking resistor-equipped inverter is required to prevent overvoltage due to sudden power loss;
7. Fault signal output is required to implement emergency stop control.

III   Application Solution of CM530 Series Inverter in CNC Machine Tools

Functional Requirements for CNC Lathe:
1. Control mode selects open-loop vector control;
2. Terminal control is required as command source, two-wire terminal control: one forward command FWD (DI1 input), one reverse command REV (DI2 input);
3. Frequency source is set by analog input (0–10VDC output from PC control board), frequency command only needs to be input via AI1;
4. Stable cutting operation is required at 300 r/min, requiring high low-speed torque;
5. Acceleration and deceleration times are set according to customer needs, usually between 2–3s. An inverter with a built-in braking unit is required;
6. Fault signal output and fault reset signal (DI3 input) are required.

CMC’s CM530 general flux vector control inverter features two analog input terminals (AI1 and AI2), supporting two open-loop vector control methods (method 1 has less dependency on motor parameters, while method 2 requires motor parameter learning for optimal performance). It offers excellent low-frequency torque, delivering 180% torque at 0.5Hz. It comes with a built-in braking unit, fully meeting the application requirements of CNC lathes.

Advantages of Choosing CMC CM530 General Flux Vector Control Inverter System:
1. Reduces equipment control cost;
2. Significantly reduces maintenance costs, even achieving maintenance-free operation;
3. Enables high-efficiency cutting and high machining precision;
4. Delivers strong torque output at both low and high speeds;
5. Excellent overload capacity.
