Reliability, practicality, and ease of maintenance are key to the success of lifting electrical systems. With the development of frequency conversion technology, its superior start/stop control characteristics have been widely applied in the lifting industry.


When using traditional control schemes, the starting current impact is large, equipment impact is severe, and noise levels are high, all of which affect equipment lifespan and positioning accuracy. CMC's CM560 hoisting dedicated inverter adopts a specialized motor control DSP along with complex flux vector control algorithms. Based on the application characteristics of the lifting industry, multiple applicable functions have been developed to effectively avoid the disadvantages of traditional control schemes. This ensures that lifting equipment can perform hoisting tasks efficiently, accurately, smoothly, and durably, delivering superior performance.


I   Hook Beam Crane Solution



Traveling Mechanism: Two CM560 hoisting dedicated inverters, each controlling front/back and left/right traveling motors.
Lifting Mechanism: One CM560 hoisting dedicated inverter controls the lifting motor. The inverter capacity is two ratings higher than the motor capacity, paired with CMC BR530 general-purpose dynamic braking unit.


II   Tower Crane (Tower Hoist) Solution



1. Lifting Motor Inverter: CM560 hoisting dedicated inverter, with power rating one level higher than the motor power, used together with BR530 general-purpose dynamic braking unit.
2. Slewing Motor Inverter: CM560 hoisting dedicated inverter with built-in braking unit.
3. Jib Luffing Motor Inverter: CM560 hoisting dedicated inverter with built-in braking unit.


III   Mine Hoist Solution



The motor is controlled by CM560 vector inverter, and the braking unit uses CMC BR530 general-purpose dynamic braking unit.
CM560 Flux Vector Inverter Features:
■ Starting torque 0.5Hz / 180% (or open-loop vector control mode), fully meeting starting torque requirements;
■ Standard 5 DI terminals, no expansion required, fully meeting multi-speed, start/stop and fault input needs;
■ Standard 2 relay outputs, fully meeting mechanical release and brake control output requirements;
