  Hiconics Drives Joins the "Top 10 Frontier Technologies in Global Energy Equipment"

  Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and National Energy Administration jointly issued the "Made in China 2025 - Energy Equipment Implementation Plan". The goal is to further cultivate and enhance the independent innovation capability of energy equipment, promoting the energy revolution and optimizing the upgrading of the energy equipment manufacturing industry. To this end, Energy Frontiers has compiled a list of the top ten frontier technologies in global energy equipment, which are of great significance in addressing today's serious environmental pollution and resource depletion issues. In this campaign of energy revolution and equipment manufacturing upgrades, Hiconics Drives actively participates and provides strong equipment support for deep-sea scientific research and nuclear fusion projects among the top ten frontier technologies.

  Hiconics Drives Collaborates with Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Deep-Sea Scientific Research Experiments

  Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the key national laboratories in ocean engineering, possessing numerous research facilities. Among them, the collaboration between Hiconics Drives and Shanghai Jiao Tong University on the Ocean Deepwater Test Basin is one of China's most important marine deepwater test basins. This facility can simulate various marine environments such as wind, waves, and currents, providing strong support for the development and utilization of marine renewable energy in China. At the same time, the basin includes wave-making systems, wave-dissipation systems, current-generating systems, wind-generating systems, water depth adjustment systems, and other equipment, all of which require high voltage standards at the site.

  Based on the specific conditions of the Ocean Deepwater Test Basin project at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Hiconics provided six high-voltage inverters meeting on-site standards, converting 10kV input to 6kV output with a power rating of 800kW each. These inverters are mainly used in the current-generating system of the Ocean Deepwater Test Basin to drive six high-voltage water pumps, creating flow fields within the pool and achieving user-specified requirements by adjusting motor speed. This initiative not only ensured the normal operation of the Ocean Deepwater Test Basin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University but also made a significant contribution to China's deep-sea scientific research.

  Hiconics Drives Supports Southwestern Institute of Physics in Optimizing Nuclear Fusion Research Equipment

  "International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) Program" is one of the largest multilateral international large-scale science and engineering cooperation projects that China has participated in since the reform and opening-up policy. In early July, scientists from the Fusion Science Department of the Southwestern Institute of Physics and the French Atomic Energy Commission conducted experiments in Chengdu using a new type of antenna to guide microwave energy into the "artificial sun" experimental device (the upgraded version of HL-2A Tokamak, named HL-2M), aiming to raise its temperature beyond the already achieved 55 million degrees Celsius.

  In this experiment, the Fusion Science Department of the Southwestern Institute of Physics utilized Hiconics’ high-power high-voltage water-cooled and air-cooled variable frequency speed control system and central control system to intelligently drive an 8500kW motor for variable frequency speed control. This satisfied the requirements for pulse generator startup, discharge tracking, and re-acceleration under different operating conditions, ensuring sufficient energy supply for the HL-2M Tokamak magnetic confinement nuclear fusion experimental device, thus guaranteeing the smooth progress of the experiment. Faced with such a remarkable scientific endeavor, Hiconics feels deeply honored to be part of it.
